SARA & ADAM

Sara and Adam are our new Bloor West Village friends…they live in what Dave and I have long considered to be the most gorgeous area of the city, a five minute walk from Toronto’s High Park, which is where we decided to meet with them one late fall afternoon to have a wander, throw some leaves and of course take some photos. In the weeks leading up to the shoot Sara and I excitedly emailed back and forth and we used the shoot as a little mini-celebration as Sara had just finished writing a few accounting exams in the weeks and days leading up to it. I just love these two. They are kind, sweet, so generous and selfless, the kind of people who always think of others and think to ask how you’re doing…really, what I think most of us only strive to be. They first met while at school and actually while in the same small study group, and while Adam liked her from the moment he met her, he told us about how it took a while to actually work up the nerve to ask her out. But good thing he did as they’ve been together ever since and are now planning what sounds to be a gorgeous summer wedding at one of the old stone buildings of the city’s main university. And they are pretty cute together too! High Park was simply gorgeous and I was so happy to shoot there in a different season, with the leaves on the trees just starting to change. We really didn’t even wander around too much as there were so many pretty little spots at each and every turn. We were all very very happy about this. It was dark by the time we’d finished shooting and our tummies were growling so we all went out and grabbed a bite to eat (how could Dave and I resist a little restaurant in our dream neighbourhood with great company?!) and easily talked about pretty much everything under the sun and came away feeling like we’d made new friends. Our new Bloor West Village friends.

Sara & Adam, we just loved spending this time with you and honestly, couldn’t think of better people to have spent it with. Thank you so much for your kindness, fun, and generosity. I love these shots and hope Adam’s dimples showed through in enough of them : )  We are so excited for your wedding next year. An afternoon chatting in one of your neighbourhood cafes with a coffee and a slice of cake – it’s on us, anytime.
