LAUREL & JEFF

With the nicer weather starting to finally come around, Dave and I are super excited to be getting in the swing of shooting some engagement sessions for our couples…….and this next one is pure Canadiana through and through and I just love it!!

We met up with Laurel and Jeff over the weekend to take some photos and had the best time, hanging out by the beach, soaking in the sun and one of the first real spring days we’ve had in a while. These two are a delight to be around. I was beyond excited when we got emailing back and forth and we came up with the idea of this shoot, based on Laurel and Jeff’s love of camping (they go together every summer). We chatted about places we’d been and concluded that they were much more wilderness-savvy than Dave and me (or at least, than me….), confirmed when Jeff expertly made the campfire in about two seconds flat! It left me unsure about whether I could even call myself a true Canadian anymore, ha!

Laurel and Jeff are just a really kind, down-to-earth, comfortable pair of people……from our time spent with them, I think I can tell that they are the kind of people that roll with the punches, enjoy life, and are just content with each other and where they are in their lives right now….and it was really special to hold witness to that. We can’t wait to see them get married in just a few short weeks!! Laurel & Jeff, we hope you love your photos, we loved spending the afternoon with you, soaking in that lovely campfire smoky smell, letting the wind do crazy things to our hair and munching on s’mores……ahhh it was the best! My camera still smells like campfire : )
