AMANDA & GUI

Ahhh where to start with these guys?! When we first met up with Amanda and Gui to chat about their wedding, we realized that we had actually met Amanda a couple of years earlier at a Halloween party (where she was a vampire and Dave and I were Juno MacGuff and Paulie Bleeker…..) and that Dave and Gui had worked at the same summer camp as teenagers…. small world! We met up with them this past weekend to do their engagement photos and we had an absolute blast. They are some of the most fun people I’ve ever met, they really really are (you’ll see). We’d been talking about this idea for their shoot for months and we got the perfect day for it, I was so happy to see it all come together…. how are we so lucky?! I mean, really.

Amanda and Gui are the kind of couple that I’m not even sure how to describe in words, because I know I won’t be able to capture the essence of who they are by anything I say…. I mean, they practice their dance moves in the local park…. they goof around with each other with the biggest smiles on their faces….. they drag couches out into the backyard and figure out how to use old school popcorn machines together…. they just have that spark in their eyes and in their steps, and an energy for life that is completely infectious. They first started dating shortly before Gui was due to leave on a seven month long adventure on the other side of the globe…… I know! But, he came back, they found out that they still liked each other (ha!), that actually they liked each other quite a bit, and now they’re planning their wedding at the end of the month. We just can’t wait to be a part of it and are pretty thankful to know these two.

This whole evening was one of my favourites. Watching movies in the backyard are a definite must for every single one of you out there! Here are more than a few frames of the super fun Amanda and Gui : )
