CAROLINE + JAYDEN + WHO-KNOWS-WHERE CHICAGO

Hello Chicago. Or as we like to say, the Toronto of America.Hello traffic. Hello perfectly quaint old hotel, Oakpark, Hemingway Museum, and old ladies who ran the Hemingway Museum. Hello leaves, Frank Lloyd Wright, freak thunderstorm, running for cover, flooding, and old friends for lunch.Hello Caroline & Jayden!! These two popped down for the afternoon from Milwaukee to meet up with us and we were so glad to catch up with our friends over tea. Lost in conversation, by the time we thought to stretch those legs and head outside, the light was quickly vanishing. Which is 4pm when you're in Chicago in November, fyi. Had a blast with these guys, took some photos (even in the dark...), our time with them was equal measures heart to hearts and nonsensical games and laughter. Which is a soul-filling combination. Really love these guys, we do. Thanks you two for adventuring down this road of life with Dave and I, sharing ideas and dreams and laughs, even if it's often from a far off distance (Caz & Jayden are in NEPAL as we speak, spending some time volunteering their time and having what I'm sure is a soul-filling adventure of their own. Such a pleasure and inspiration always to follow along with what they're up to). Enjoyed our one night in between stops in Chicago and all its random and wonderful offerings :) Next, I'll continue recounting to you our travels from this past November as we continued along the road west.. to a magical little place called Wisconsin :)
