pay attention. be astonished. tell about it. — mary oliver

we set out on every wedding day like two kids on a treasure hunt; observing and participating and coming to know who our couples are and catching the little things that matter most. we want to show what the day feels like. a huge reason why we love this job so much is getting to know the people we work with.

we are documentarians and truth tellers — meaning that we don’t do a lot of posing or interrupting of what’s going on. we're less creative directors and more aiming to let the day naturally unfold so that you can remember the day itself instead of being on a photo shoot. we are committed to helping you to remember what's important and what it felt like to be you, living these moments. we purposefully avoid becoming immersed in the latest trends in wedding photography so that we can approach each day we photograph with a clear mind. every day and every person is unique and we want you to be able to see yourselves and your loved ones in the photos we take.

we document with huge smiles on our faces all day, we’re a part of the crowd & we place a lot of value on getting to know the people we work with. when it comes to taking portraits of our couples, we view it as a collaboration: we'll find the best light and help you feel comfortable, and you just be yourselves. we will take the photos that will help you remember what it felt like. if you’re here because you value the story more than making things perfect, i think we’ll get along great :)

we are jenn & dave. we met at university and have been together ever since. in 2007 we lived overseas and could barely pay rent — it was here that we immersed ourselves in learning photography on our new-to-us dslr camera, checking out dozens of books from the local library and taking thousands of photographs. that this passion bloomed into a business still amazes us.

he loves sci-fi, black coffee in the morning, and knows every baseball stat. she loves writing, wandering around independent bookshops, and learning how to knit and crochet. together, we grow vegetables in our backyard, talk endlessly on road trips, continue to check out an endless amount of books from our local library, rewatch downton abbey, ted lasso, and schitt’s creek on an annual basis, raise our daughter, go on hikes, and photograph weddings.

"having jenn and dave photograph your wedding is like having your besties shoot your wedding. do it! you won’t regret it."
