lea & steve, and their wedding on round lake
lea & steve were married last summer on the front lawn of lea's mom's property, surrounded by the rolling hills of the farm, tall trees, friends and family and across the road from the lake that is home for them. it was a beautiful weekend away from the city for dave & i, a far cry from toronto as we found ourselves up north of bancroft under millions of stars. we felt at home too, welcomed into the fold of their lovely family and friends, and our spirits quieted as they always are when we are up north. when i think of this day i think of arriving at the property, taking in the lake with the family dog, getting a big hug from lea and noticing (and loving) the sign pointing the way for skinny dipping. everyone's lips are sealed on that one.enjoy a little bit of what we saw that beautiful summer day beside round lake.CLICK TO SEE MORE
GILLIAN & PAT MARRIED IN PARRY SOUND | a crane lake muskoka wedding
o my luve is like a red, red rose that's newly sprung in june....
o my luve is like the melodie that's sweetly played in tune....
Weddings are by very nature a coming together of two families, but when the two families are French-Canadian and Scottish, it's a real treat and makes for the most fun day filled with kilts, Robbie Burns poems and lovely accents on both accounts! We love that Pat and Gill chose a spot in the wilderness north of the city to get married, a place where they could invite all their friends to spend a couple of days in the middle of the summer with them, to swim in the lake and play frisbee with the dogs, and to watch them get married out in the sun. This was such a fun day to be a part of, one of my favourite parts being Pat's reaction to seeing Gill for the first time.... they met up by the cabins right before the ceremony so that they could walk over together and I think Pat's face seeing his lovely 'luve' pretty much says it all about these two. Thanks so much you guys for having us there. xo, jenn
