following our feet & our hearts / upcoming travel adventures

us, currently : it's been a perpetual countdown to our next plane ride, whispered in between sips of coffee (two weeks until we go), as we buy new rolls of film (one week tomorrow!), in solace to being frustrated about being stuck in traffic (but we're going in five days!), a continual counting down to our next journey across the ocean. in a few days we're heading off to explore the shores of the north atlantic, spending some time in denmark, the faroe islands, and rounding it off in iceland. we can't wait.iceland-faroe-islandsit's always been a dream of mine to explore some of the more remote countries in that part of the world, and since going to iceland in 2013 our appetite has only grown. so far we have plans to live in a campervan for seven days (that's in iceland), get deliciously full on good coffee & pastries (that'll be copenhagen), and not rest until we find all the puffins (the faroes).we made a little tumblr in connection with our travel/commercial portfolio site, as a place to document the trip. we're hoping it can be an honest, sometimes funny, sometimes insightful, hopefully visually inspiring account of our discoveries & explorations. follow along ---> HERE!

dyrhólaey & reynisfjara, moss fields & roadside ponies / adventures in south iceland

iceland, the place where at every turn you're faced with a new unexplainable & completely incomparable landscape.on our first day after flying into reykjavik, we rented a car and drove east along highway one towards the small town of vik. we posted some photos of the beautiful hike we did on the way here. the next day, we explored the heights & wind of dyrhólaey & the black sand and basalt columns of reynisfjara nearby before continuing our drive east towards jokulsarlon. on our way we passed by fields of horses and these incredible plains, old volcanic stone covered in moss as far as you can see.standing up on those cliffs of dyrhólaey, you really feel the immensity of the ocean to your one side and snow-covered mountains to the other, and little old you getting to take it all in. the wind is powerful & loud so it was easy to get lost in your own thoughts. it's a truly magnificent spot, one of my favourites, and it's hard to put into words or capture, but we tried.iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-001iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-002iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-003iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-004iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-005iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-006iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-007iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-008iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-009iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-010iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-011iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-012iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-013iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-014iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-015iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-016iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-017iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-018iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-019iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-020iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-021iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-022iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-023iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-024iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-025iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-026iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-027iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-028iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-029iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-030iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-031iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-032iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-033iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-034iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-035iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-036iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-038iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-039iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-040iceland-dyrhólaey-reynisfjara-photography-jenn-dave-stark-041
