allison + matthew / a lovely fields on west lake barn wedding
we'll drive for miles maybe we'll never turn off, we'll find a cathedral city, you can be handsome, i'll be pretty / camera obscura
we joined two of the kindest people you'll ever meet & their families at the big red barn at fields on west lake as they stood together & said i do. the wind flew around us, the blackbirds sang, and the buds were coming in on the trees.allison is a journalist, documentarian, & storyteller, who does things like getting stranded on navy ship off the coast of yemen for a story. matthew is in public relations, and in allison's words, 'nicest guy on the planet is probably the best way to describe matthew' and it's true. they live in alberta, and took a roadtrip to get to the wedding (roadtripoflove4ever2014 i believe was the official title). they are wonderful souls & i wish you all could just meet them because words won't do justice. their wedding day was a combination of all things good & it was over too fast, as the best days always are.every time I propose some crazy adventure (like having babies, selling all our belongings and travelling around the world for a year), he says: let's do it / allison. i love this. our kind of people.we hope you enjoy the story of their day. here's a little stop-motion video of the day below, and see more photos after the jump!

MEGHAN & ADAM'S BARN WEDDING | a ball's falls niagara wedding
A barn, a field, a summer's day.... bunting, bridesmaids who spent the entire five minute car ride over to the church squealing in excitement, kids in ties, lots of smiles. Also a healthy dose of tears, of sweetness, of hugs, of dropped rings during the ceremony and amazing amazing dance moves well into the night. Two amazing families, and two amazing people got married. The only way I really know how to share their story is as follows.... : )Meghan & Adam are two of the sweetest, kindest, most considerate souls you'll meet -- the words sound cliche and overused but that doesn't make it less true. Every time I looked at them (which is a lot when you're their photographer!) I felt like they were really just allowing themselves to take in the full range of emotions that accompany such a huge day, which I think is pretty special and something to aspire to. Meghan knew she would not be able to hold in the tears, she knew her hair might not be as perfect at the end of the night in a barn with no a/c and lots of dancing, but she went with it with such gusto that made me want to be her best friend forever. Their family and friends made us feel so welcome, and Adam's brother even somehow managed to finagle two beers for us from the shut down bar at the end of the night. Best way to end the best day. Meghan & Adam, thank you, thank you. Your celebrations filled our hearts and we'd do it all again in a heartbeat. xo, jennBall's Falls Big Barn | Niagara, June 2012
